Description

These delightful crab crunchies are bite-sized treats that combine sweet crab, creamy cheese, and zesty flavors for a perfectly crunchy appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb crab meat (fresh or canned)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 green onions (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg (beaten)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine crab meat, softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into bite-sized balls or patties.
  4. Dip each patty into the beaten egg, then coat with seasoned breadcrumbs.
  5. Place the breaded crab patties on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

Chill shaped patties for 15-30 minutes before baking to firm up. Adjust the size of patties to change cooking time and serving style.
