  • Burrito-sized tortilla (big enough for all those crispy chicken strips)
  • Fresh spinach or mixed greens
  • A slice of cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)

Instructions

  1. Warm up the air fryer to 390 degrees. Season your halved chicken pieces generously with salt and black pepper.
  2. Set up a coating station by placing the whisked eggs in one shallow dish, and the panko breadcrumbs mixed with cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and dried thyme in another. Cover a baking sheet with foil.
  3. Submerge each chicken piece in the egg mixture, then coat thoroughly with the seasoned panko, pressing to ensure it sticks. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Lightly grease the basket of your air fryer with cooking spray and arrange the chicken pieces in a single layer, working in batches if necessary. Mist the coated chicken with cooking spray and cook for 4 minutes on each side. Allow them to rest for 5 minutes before cutting into slices.
