Description

Delicious crispy salmon strips paired with a creamy herb tartar dip, perfect for family dinners or entertaining guests.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into strips
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon capers, rinsed and chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredient station by placing the flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in a second bowl, and Panko breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a third bowl.
  2. Dip each salmon strip into the flour, shaking off excess, then coat it in the beaten eggs, and finally dredge it in the breadcrumb mixture until fully coated.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the breaded salmon strips in batches, ensuring the pan is not overcrowded.
  4. Fry the strips for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until they turn golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove the strips and let them drain on a paper towel to absorb any excess oil.
  6. Combine mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, parsley, capers, salt, and pepper in a small bowl for the herb tartar dip. Mix well.
  7. Serve the crispy salmon strips hot with the herb tartar dip on the side.

Notes

For added flavor, let the breaded salmon strips sit for a few minutes before frying. Use freshly chopped herbs in the dipping sauce for a burst of flavor.
