Ingredients
- 2 lbs (900 g) fresh asparagus spears
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) olive oil
- 2 teaspoon (10 ml) garlic powder
- black pepper to taste
- 1 cup (100 g) grated cheese
Instructions
- Rinse and pat dry the asparagus, then cut off the bottom ½ to 1 inch of each spear.
- If needed, set your air fryer to heat up to 400°F (204°C).
- Coat the asparagus with olive oil and place them on parchment paper. Add black pepper, garlic powder, and grated cheese as desired, then transfer them to the air fryer basket or tray.
- Cook in the air fryer for 4 to 6 minutes, adjusting for thickness. The asparagus should be a vibrant green, and the cheese should start to become golden once finished. *Turning the asparagus midway is not required.
- Take the asparagus out of the air fryer and enjoy them warm alongside your favorite dish.
