Ingredients
- – 2 large chicken breasts, boneless and skinless, sliced into thin cutlets (500g)
- – 1 tablespoon (15 ml) vegetable oil
- – 1/2 cup (25g) dried bread crumbs
- – 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) paprika
- – 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) dried chili powder
- – 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) ground black pepper
- – 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) garlic powder
- – 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) onion powder
- – 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) cayenne pepper
- – 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) salt
Instructions
- Place the sliced chicken cutlets in a bowl and pour the oil over them, ensuring they’re thoroughly covered.
- In a shallow dish, combine the dried bread crumbs with all the spices, mixing until fully integrated.
- Dredge each piece of chicken in the bread crumb mixture, then place them in the basket of your air fryer.
- Set the air fryer to 390°F (200°C) and cook for 10-12 minutes. After 7 minutes, carefully turn the chicken over and continue air frying for an additional 3 minutes, adjusting for the thickness of the chicken.
- Pour oil over the boneless, skinless chicken breasts, and season with your preferred spices.
- Arrange the seasoned chicken breasts in the air fryer basket with the breast side facing down, and cook for 12-15 minutes, turning them over halfway through with kitchen tongs.
- Once the cooking cycle is complete, promptly remove the chicken from the air fryer to prevent it from drying out. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Enhance the crunch by incorporating grated Parmesan cheese into the bread crumb mixture.
- Customize the chicken cutlets’ flavor by experimenting with various spice combinations.
- Ensure even cooking by using chicken cutlets of similar thickness before air frying.
