Ingredients
- 1-2 pounds (680 g) bone-in chicken thighs and legs
- Salt and pepper
- 2 cup (480 ml) s buttermilk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cup (480 ml) s all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) cajun seasoning
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) onion powder
- 2 teaspoon (10 ml) s paprika
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) salt
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) pepper
- Olive oil spray
Instructions
- Season the chicken thighs and legs with salt and pepper.
- Combine the buttermilk and eggs in a medium bowl and whisk until smooth.
- In a separate medium bowl, mix together the flour, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Use tongs to coat the chicken pieces in the flour mixture, then dip them into the buttermilk mixture, and coat them again in the flour mixture.
- Arrange the chicken pieces at the bottom of the air fryer basket.
- Set the air fryer to 360 degrees and cook the chicken for 15-20 minutes.
- Open the basket and spray any visible flour with olive oil spray.
- Flip the chicken pieces and continue cooking for an additional 5-10 minutes, until they reach 165 degrees and there is no pink inside.
