  • 2 cup (480 ml) s buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cup (480 ml) s all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) onion powder
  • 2 teaspoon (10 ml) s paprika
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) salt
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) pepper
  • Olive oil spray

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken thighs and legs with salt and pepper.
  2. Combine the buttermilk and eggs in a medium bowl and whisk until smooth.
  3. In a separate medium bowl, mix together the flour, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Use tongs to coat the chicken pieces in the flour mixture, then dip them into the buttermilk mixture, and coat them again in the flour mixture.
  5. Arrange the chicken pieces at the bottom of the air fryer basket.
  6. Set the air fryer to 360 degrees and cook the chicken for 15-20 minutes.
  7. Open the basket and spray any visible flour with olive oil spray.
  8. Flip the chicken pieces and continue cooking for an additional 5-10 minutes, until they reach 165 degrees and there is no pink inside.

Notes

  • Coat the chicken twice in the flour mixture for extra crispiness when air frying.
  • Preheat the air fryer before cooking to ensure even cooking of the chicken.
  • Adjust cooking time based on the size and thickness of the chicken pieces for best results.
