Description

Discover how to make delicious Crispy Air Fryer Pumpkin Fries with a tasty Cinnamon Dip. Perfect for a fall treat that’s easy to make and healthier than traditional fries.

Ingredients

  • 2 mini pumpkins, peeled, seeded, and cut into 1/2-inch slices
  • 10 ml (2 tsp) vegetable oil
  • 5 ml (1/2 tsp) garlic powder
  • 5 ml (1/2 tsp) smoked paprika
  • 5 ml (1/2 tsp) salt

Instructions

  1. Place the pumpkin pieces into a big bowl and mix them with the oil and spices.
  2. Transfer the seasoned pumpkin to the air fryer basket and cook at 400°F for approximately 15 minutes, or until they are easily pierced with a fork. Halfway through, give them a shake or stir.
  3. Immerse the pumpkin slices in cold water for about an hour.
  4. Thoroughly drain and pat the slices dry using paper towels or a clean kitchen towel.
  5. Return the pumpkin slices to a large bowl and coat them once more with oil and spices.
  6. Lay the pumpkin slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook them in batches at 400°F for about 10 minutes each time, until they are tender on the inside and crispy on the outside.

Notes

  • Thoroughly pat dry pumpkin slices after soaking to ensure crispiness in the air fryer.
  • Enhance flavor with grated Parmesan cheese or a squeeze of lemon juice before serving.
  • Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or chili powder for a spicier kick in the spice mixture.
