Description

Discover the ultimate Crispy Air Fryer Parmesan Crusted Chicken Recipe! Learn how to make this delicious and easy dish that’s perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 chicken breast, sliced into 2 thin cutlets (200 g)
  • 1/3 cup (40 g) breadcrumbs
  • 1/3 cup (30 g) grated cheese
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) garlic powder
  • 1 egg
  • pepper
  • vegetable oil or cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Begin by setting the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and let it heat for 5 minutes.
  2. Cut the chicken breast horizontally to create two thinner pieces. Sprinkle both sides of each piece with pepper.
  3. In a shallow dish, mix together the breadcrumbs, grated cheese, oregano, and garlic powder until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the egg gently.
  5. Immerse the chicken pieces into the beaten egg, allowing any excess to fall away, then press them into the breadcrumb mixture to ensure an even coating.
  6. Lightly coat the air fryer basket with vegetable oil, then place the chicken inside. Apply a thin layer of oil on the top of the chicken as well.
  7. Cook in the air fryer at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 to 12 minutes, making sure to turn the chicken over halfway through the cooking time.

Notes

  • Add a sprinkle of parmesan cheese to the breadcrumb mixture for enhanced flavor.
  • Press the breadcrumb mixture firmly onto the chicken cutlets to achieve a crispy coating.
  • Customize the flavor by experimenting with different herbs and spices in the breadcrumb mixture.
