- 1 tablespoon parsley flakes (15 ml)
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt (5 ml)
- 5 teaspoon ground black pepper (2.5 ml)
- 1 large egg
- 5 pounds chicken tenderloins (680 g)
- cooking spray
Instructions
- Set your air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) following the manufacturer’s guidelines.
- In the meantime, mix together the flour, paprika, parsley, seasoned salt, and pepper in a large bowl. In another bowl, whisk the egg.
- Coat each chicken tender with the seasoned flour mixture. Then, dip it in the beaten egg and roll it again in the seasoned flour.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange the chicken tenders inside, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Lightly spray the tops of the tenders with cooking spray.
- Place them in the preheated air fryer for 8 minutes. Turn the chicken over and lightly spray the tops once more. Continue air frying until a thermometer inserted in the center of the chicken reaches 165 degrees F (74 degrees C), approximately 7 to 8 more minutes. Repeat the process with any remaining tenders.
Notes
- For a healthier twist, consider using whole wheat flour instead of all-purpose flour to boost fiber content.
- Add a hint of spice by incorporating a pinch of cayenne pepper or chili powder into the seasoned flour mixture.
- Achieve a crispy exterior by lightly spraying the chicken tenders with cooking spray before air frying and ensuring they are not overcrowded in the basket.
