- 1 tablespoon (15ml) fresh minced ginger
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) low sodium soy sauce, or to taste (use Tamari for Gluten Free)
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) rice vinegar (use distilled white vinegar for Gluten Free)
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) sesame oil
- 2 teaspoons (10ml) hot sauce (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) sea salt, or to taste
- black pepper, to taste
- serve with lemon wedges, optional
Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade: Mix together the oil, garlic powder, ginger, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, optional hot sauce, salt, and pepper in a container.
- Separate the chicken into one dish and the broccoli and onions into another. Evenly divide the marinade between them, ensuring each is fully coated.
- Air Fry: Place only the chicken pieces into the air fryer basket/tray. Cook at 380°F/195°C for 10 minutes. Add the broccoli and onions to the chicken, including all the marinade, and continue cooking at the same temperature for another 8-10 minutes, or until the chicken is fully done. Stir halfway through to ensure even cooking of the broccoli.
- Season with extra salt and pepper if needed. Optionally, add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice before serving warm.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chicken, broccoli, and onion. Toss everything together.
- Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, blend the oil, garlic powder, ginger, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, optional hot sauce, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken, broccoli, and onions to this mixture, ensuring they are well coated.
- Air Fry: Transfer everything into the air fryer basket/tray. Cook at 380°F/195°C for 16-20 minutes, shaking and turning halfway through the process to ensure even cooking. Check that the chicken is fully cooked; if not, cook for an additional 3-5 minutes.
- Add more salt and pepper, if desired. Optionally, squeeze fresh lemon juice on top before serving warm.
Notes
- Make sure to evenly coat the chicken, broccoli, and onions with the marinade for maximum flavor.
- For a gluten-free option, use Tamari and distilled white vinegar as substitutes.
- Adjust soy sauce and hot sauce amounts to your taste preference.
