Ingredients
- – 2 large chicken breasts, boneless and skinless, sliced into thin cutlets (500g)
- – 1 tablespoon (15 ml) oil (olive oil, canola, or vegetable oil)
- – 1/2 cup (25g) dried bread crumbs
- – 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) paprika
- – 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) dried chili powder
- – 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) ground black pepper
- – 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) garlic powder
- – 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) onion powder
- – 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) cayenne pepper
- – 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) salt
Instructions
- Place the sliced chicken breasts in a bowl and pour oil over them, ensuring they are completely covered.
- In a separate shallow plate, combine the bread crumbs with all the spices, mixing thoroughly.
- Dredge each piece of chicken in the seasoned bread crumbs, then place them into the air fryer basket.
- Cook in the air fryer at 390°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes. After 7 minutes, open the air fryer and turn the chicken, then continue cooking (adjust for 3 more minutes, depending on the thickness of the chicken).
- Pour oil over the chicken breasts, and season them with the spices of your choice.
- Set the seasoned chicken breasts in the air fryer basket with the breast side facing down, and cook for 12-15 minutes, turning them halfway through with tongs.
- Once the timer goes off, take the chicken out of the air fryer immediately to prevent it from drying out. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, increase cayenne pepper or chili powder in the seasoned bread crumbs.
- Enhance crunchiness by adding grated Parmesan cheese or finely chopped nuts to the bread crumbs.
- Explore unique flavors by experimenting with smoked paprika, cumin, or Italian seasoning.
