Ingredients

  • – 2 large chicken breasts, boneless and skinless, sliced into thin cutlets (500g)
  • – 1 tablespoon (15 ml) oil (olive oil, canola, or vegetable oil)
  • – 1/2 cup (25g) dried bread crumbs
  • – 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) paprika
  • – 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) dried chili powder
  • – 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) ground black pepper
  • – 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) garlic powder
  • – 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) onion powder
  • – 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) cayenne pepper
  • – 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) salt


Instructions

  1. Place the sliced chicken breasts in a bowl and pour oil over them, ensuring they are completely covered.
  2. In a separate shallow plate, combine the bread crumbs with all the spices, mixing thoroughly.
  3. Dredge each piece of chicken in the seasoned bread crumbs, then place them into the air fryer basket.
  4. Cook in the air fryer at 390°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes. After 7 minutes, open the air fryer and turn the chicken, then continue cooking (adjust for 3 more minutes, depending on the thickness of the chicken).
  5. Pour oil over the chicken breasts, and season them with the spices of your choice.
  6. Set the seasoned chicken breasts in the air fryer basket with the breast side facing down, and cook for 12-15 minutes, turning them halfway through with tongs.
  7. Once the timer goes off, take the chicken out of the air fryer immediately to prevent it from drying out. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
