Ingredients
- 1 cup grits
- 4 cups water or chicken broth
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a pot, bring the water or chicken broth to a boil.
- Gradually whisk in the grits and reduce the heat to low.
- Cook, stirring frequently until thickened (about 20-25 minutes).
- Stir in the heavy cream, cheese, butter, salt, and pepper.
- In a pan, heat a little oil over medium heat.
