Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup brandy or sherry
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the shrimp and cook until pink, about 3–4 minutes.
  3. Carefully add the brandy or sherry and let it simmer for a minute.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice, cooking until the sauce is thick and creamy.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute half and half for heavy cream. Consider adding sautéed mushrooms or spinach for variation.
