Description

A cozy and indulgent creamy shrimp and crab Alfredo pasta bake that’s easy to prepare, perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces penne pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 pound crab meat, lump or claw crab, drained
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (for topping)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for about a minute.
  4. Add the shrimp and cook for 3-4 minutes until pink. Remove from heat and gently fold in the crab meat.
  5. Combine heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl; mix well.
  6. Fold the cooked penne pasta into the cream mixture and add the shrimp and crab.
  7. Transfer to a greased baking dish and top with mozzarella cheese and breadcrumbs.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
  9. Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a healthier option, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream and consider adding spinach or peas for nutrition.
