A cozy and indulgent creamy shrimp and crab Alfredo pasta bake that’s easy to prepare, perfect for family gatherings.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces penne pasta
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 pound crab meat, lump or claw crab, drained
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for about a minute.
- Add the shrimp and cook for 3-4 minutes until pink. Remove from heat and gently fold in the crab meat.
- Combine heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl; mix well.
- Fold the cooked penne pasta into the cream mixture and add the shrimp and crab.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish and top with mozzarella cheese and breadcrumbs.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
- Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a healthier option, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream and consider adding spinach or peas for nutrition.
