A quick and flavorful tilapia recipe with lemon and garlic that transforms a simple meal into something spectacular.
Ingredients
- 4 tilapia fillets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup kale, chopped
- 1 lemon (juice and zest)
- 1 teaspoon dried herbs (parsley, thyme, or dill)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream (optional)
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Season the tilapia fillets with salt, pepper, and dried herbs.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Place the tilapia fillets in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- Add kale to the skillet and cook until wilted, about 2 minutes.
- Squeeze lemon juice and add lemon zest to the skillet.
- If using, pour in the heavy cream and mix well.
- Serve hot with additional lemon wedges if desired.
Notes
For a lighter version, omit the heavy cream. Pair with quinoa or steamed rice.
