Description
A comforting and creamy pasta bake featuring tender shrimp and a rich garlic sauce, perfect for family gatherings.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces pasta (e.g., penne or fusilli)
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the shrimp and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Stir in the heavy cream and chicken broth, bringing to a simmer. Mix in half of the cheddar and Parmesan cheese until melted. Season with salt and pepper.
- Combine the cooked pasta, shrimp, and the creamy sauce in a large baking dish.
- Top with the remaining cheeses.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For a bit of spice, consider adding red pepper flakes. Freshly grated cheese melts better than pre-shredded.
