Description

A comforting and creamy pasta bake featuring tender shrimp and a rich garlic sauce, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces pasta (e.g., penne or fusilli)
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the shrimp and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream and chicken broth, bringing to a simmer. Mix in half of the cheddar and Parmesan cheese until melted. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Combine the cooked pasta, shrimp, and the creamy sauce in a large baking dish.
  7. Top with the remaining cheeses.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For a bit of spice, consider adding red pepper flakes. Freshly grated cheese melts better than pre-shredded.
