Description

A rich, creamy bisque featuring tender crab meat and succulent shrimp, perfect for gatherings and cozy nights in.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb crab meat
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 4 cups seafood stock
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
  2. Stir in the seafood stock and bring to a simmer.
  3. Add the crab meat and shrimp, and cook for about 5-7 minutes until the shrimp are pink and cooked through.
  4. Reduce the heat and stir in the heavy cream and Old Bay seasoning. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, but do not let it boil.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Remove from heat and ladle into bowls. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Taste as you go and adjust seasoning as necessary. For added flavor, consider a splash of lemon juice before serving.
