Description
A luxurious bisque combining the rich flavors of crab and shrimp, perfect for special occasions or cozy dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 cup crab meat
- 1 cup shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 4 cups seafood stock
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute until it’s well combined.
- Gradually add the seafood stock, stirring continuously until the mixture is smooth.
- Bring to a simmer and let it cook for about 10 minutes.
- Add the crab meat and shrimp, then pour in the heavy cream and milk. Stir to combine.
- Add Worcestershire sauce, and season with salt and pepper.
- Let the bisque simmer for another 5-7 minutes until the shrimp are cooked through.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
