Description

A cozy and comforting creamy bacon and pea carbonara that’s easy to prepare for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 200g spaghetti
  • 100g diced bacon
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add the diced bacon. Cook until crispy.
  3. Add minced garlic and frozen peas to the skillet, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together eggs and Parmesan cheese.
  5. Drain the spaghetti and add it to the skillet with bacon and peas, removing from heat.
  6. Quickly pour the egg and cheese mixture over the pasta, stirring to create a creamy sauce.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve immediately.

Notes

Reserve some pasta water before draining to adjust the sauce consistency if needed.
