Description

A healthier twist on classic Chicken Parmesan using cottage cheese, lean chicken, and rich marinara sauce, creating a satisfying and nutritious meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Marinate the chicken breasts with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Place the marinated chicken in a baking dish and spread the cottage cheese over the top evenly.
  4. Pour the marinara sauce over the cottage cheese layer.
  5. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top, followed by dried basil and oregano.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  7. Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, and garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

For a crispier top, broil for the last few minutes of cooking. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
