Description

Delicious crab cakes reminiscent of seaside dining, featuring tender crab meat and a crispy exterior, perfect for brunch or dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb crab meat
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Combine the crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, onion, bell pepper, egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  2. Mix gently until combined, ensuring you don’t break the crab apart too much.
  3. Form the mixture into uniform patties.
  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  5. Fry the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Serve warm with your choice of dipping sauce.

Notes

Chill the formed patties in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before frying to help them hold together.
