Description

Discover how to make irresistible Cinnamon Sugar Air Fryer Banana Chips Crunch. This easy recipe will satisfy your cravings for a crunchy and sweet snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 firm bananas (2 pieces or 320g)
  • 1 tablespoon melted coconut oil (or vegetable oil) (15ml)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (25g)
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Prepare the bananas: Remove the peels from the bananas and cut them into thin, uniform slices, approximately ? inch thick. A mandoline slicer is ideal for consistent slices, but a sharp knife will also work well.
  2. Coat the slices: Place the banana slices in a mixing bowl and gently mix them with melted coconut oil, ensuring both sides are lightly covered.
  3. Combine the topping: In a separate small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
  4. Sprinkle: Arrange the banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they do not overlap. Lightly dust the banana slices with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  5. Air fry: Set the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and cook for 8–10 minutes, turning the chips over halfway through the cooking time. Keep a close eye on them towards the end to avoid burning.
  6. Cool and crisp: Allow the banana chips to cool on a wire rack or a plate, as they will become crispier as they cool down.
  7. Enjoy: Serve the banana chips right away or store them for future snacking!

Notes

  • Note: Opt for a natural sweetener like honey or maple syrup to replace granulated sugar for a healthier alternative.
  • Experiment with spices such as nutmeg or cardamom to add a unique and flavorful twist to the banana chips.
  • Slice the bananas uniformly to ensure even cooking in the air fryer, and store any leftovers in an airtight container to preserve their crispy texture.
