- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon lime zest
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 2 tablespoons honey
- ½ bunch cilantro, finely chopped
- 3 cups finely shredded green cabbage
- ½ cup Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons lime juice (from 1 lime)
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 8 6-inch tortillas (corn or flour)
- Extra lime wedges, for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, season the shrimp with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and chili powder. Toss well to coat the shrimp evenly.
- Heat the olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once the butter melts, add the seasoned shrimp to the pan.
- Cook for approximately 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove the skillet from heat.
- In a separate bowl, combine lime zest, lime juice, honey, and chopped cilantro. Toss this mixture with the shredded cabbage and Greek yogurt to create a creamy slaw.
- To assemble the tacos, spoon some of the creamy slaw onto a tortilla. Top with a few shrimp and a slice of avocado. Serve with extra lime wedges on the side.
Notes
Use fresh, wild-caught shrimp for the best flavor. Mix the slaw ingredients just before serving to retain crispness.
