Description

Savory Cheddar Bay crab cakes featuring tender crab meat, crunchy crackers, and a hint of cheddar for an unforgettable flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb crab meat
  • 1 cup crushed crackers (like Ritz)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 egg
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, crushed crackers, cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, egg, green onions, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  2. Gently mix until all ingredients incorporate well. Take care not to overwork the mixture.
  3. Form the mixture into patties, about the size of your palm.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Fry the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve warm.

Notes

Chill the patties for about 30 minutes before frying to help them hold their shape. Customize with fresh herbs or spices.
