Description

Quick and satisfying canned salmon patties packed with protein and healthy fats, perfect for busy weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of salmon (14.75 oz, drained and cleaned)
  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons green onions (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 cup celery (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 4 tablespoons butter (for frying)
  • Lemon for garnish
  • Fresh dill for garnish

Instructions

  1. Drain the can of salmon thoroughly. If desired, remove skin and bones for a smoother consistency.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the drained salmon, breadcrumbs, chopped green onions, celery, mayonnaise, and the beaten egg.
  3. Stir the mixture until everything is well combined.
  4. Divide the mixture into four equal parts, shaping each into a patty. Set aside.
  5. In a large sauté pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Place the patties in the pan.
  6. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and heated through.
  7. Plate the patties and garnish with fresh dill and a splash of lemon juice.

Notes

For a crispier exterior, use a non-stick sauté pan and allow the patties to rest after frying. Experiment with spices for added flavor.
