Ingredients

  • cooking spray
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) brown sugar
  • 2 (170 g) skin-on salmon fillets

Instructions

  1. Assemble all the ingredients. Set the air fryer to 390 degrees F (200 degrees C) to warm it up.
  2. Wash the salmon fillets and pat them dry with a paper towel. Lightly coat the fillets with cooking spray.
  3. In a small bowl, blend the Cajun seasoning and brown sugar until well mixed; pour onto a plate.
  4. Dip the fleshy side of the fillets into the seasoning blend.
  5. Coat the air fryer basket with cooking spray and lay the salmon fillets with the skin side facing down. Lightly mist the salmon once more with cooking spray.
  6. Shut the air fryer lid and cook for 8 minutes at the set temperature. Take out the salmon and let it sit for 2 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure the salmon fillets are pat-dry before applying cooking spray to help the seasoning adhere better.
  • Adjust the Cajun seasoning quantity to suit your desired level of spiciness.
  • For a crispier skin, consider flipping the salmon fillets halfway through the cooking process.
