A vibrant Cajun-inspired dish featuring shrimp and salmon in a creamy Parmesan sauce, perfect for impressing guests or treating your family.
Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp
- 2 salmon fillets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Season the shrimp and salmon with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat until hot but not smoking.
- Place the salmon skin-side down in the heated pan and cook for about 5-6 minutes until the skin is crispy. Flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until just cooked through; remove from pan and set aside.
- Add minced garlic to the same pan and sauté until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Gradually stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce thickens.
- Add cooked shrimp and salmon back to the pan, coating them well in the sauce.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve.
Notes
For best results, pat the shrimp dry before seasoning and avoid overcrowding the pan. Adjust Cajun seasoning to taste.
