Description

A vibrant Cajun-inspired dish featuring shrimp and salmon in a creamy Parmesan sauce, perfect for impressing guests or treating your family.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp
  • 2 salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the shrimp and salmon with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat until hot but not smoking.
  3. Place the salmon skin-side down in the heated pan and cook for about 5-6 minutes until the skin is crispy. Flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until just cooked through; remove from pan and set aside.
  4. Add minced garlic to the same pan and sauté until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  6. Gradually stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce thickens.
  7. Add cooked shrimp and salmon back to the pan, coating them well in the sauce.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve.

Notes

For best results, pat the shrimp dry before seasoning and avoid overcrowding the pan. Adjust Cajun seasoning to taste.
