Description

A flavorful dish of seared scallops in a creamy Cajun sauce that balances spice and richness for an elegant meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of sea scallops
  • 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the sea scallops with Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the scallops to the skillet and sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through.
  4. Remove scallops and set aside.
  5. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds.
  6. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer, stirring continuously.
  7. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
  8. Return the scallops to the skillet, coating them in the sauce.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

Pat scallops dry before seasoning for a better sear. Allow the skillet to heat fully before adding scallops. Adjust seasoning in the cream sauce to your liking.
