Description

A vibrant and crunchy cabbage slaw that enhances fish tacos with fresh, tangy flavors.

Ingredients

  • ½ pound shredded purple cabbage
  • ½ pound shredded green cabbage
  • ¼ cup roughly chopped fresh cilantro
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 green onions, diced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Toss gently but thoroughly until all the cabbage is coated.
  3. Use immediately on tacos for the best texture and flavor.
  4. Store any leftover slaw in the fridge for up to three days, keeping it covered.

Notes

Add diced jalapeños or shredded carrots for extra flavor. Allow the slaw to marinate for about 15 minutes before serving for flavor enhancement.
