Ingredients

  • – 3 pounds (1.36 kg) chicken thighs (boneless and skinless)
  • – 1/2 cup (120 ml) brown sugar
  • – 8 cloves garlic (minced)
  • – 2 tablespoons (30 ml) sriracha sauce
  • – 1/4 cup (60 ml) soy sauce
  • – 1/4 cup (60 ml) beef broth
  • – 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) pepper (or to taste)

Instructions

  1. Set your oven to 425°F and get the chicken ready by taking it out of the packaging and drying it with paper towels.
  2. In a saucepan, mix together the sauce components and whisk over medium heat until the sugar fully dissolves. Pour half of this mixture into a large baking dish, place the chicken thighs inside, and then cover them with the remaining sauce.
  3. Place the baking dish in the oven and cook without covering for 35 to 40 minutes, making sure to baste with the sauce every 10 minutes.
  4. Add a sprinkle of chopped parsley or cilantro on top if desired, and serve.

Notes

  • Consider adding extra minced garlic to the sauce for a bolder garlic flavor.
  • Adjust spiciness by increasing or decreasing sriracha in the sauce.
  • Enhance umami by marinating chicken in the sauce before baking.
