Description

A delicious and quick blackened shrimp stroganoff, featuring Cajun seasoning, creamy sauce, and pasta, perfect for busy weeknights or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 8 ounces pasta (such as fettuccine)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup beef or chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, toss shrimp with Cajun seasoning until well coated.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook until blackened and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add onion and garlic; sauté until soft.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream, broth, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer.
  6. Add the cooked pasta and shrimp to the skillet, mixing until well combined.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

To adjust the sauce consistency, reserve some pasta water during cooking and add as needed. Experiment with Cajun seasoning to suit your spice tolerance.
