Description

Quick and flavorful blackened salmon tacos with a zesty slaw and creamy avocado.

Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
  • 4 corn or flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup grated carrots
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 avocado
  • 1/4 cup pickled onions
  • 2 tablespoons chipotle sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cream
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the salmon fillets generously with taco seasoning.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, adding oil if necessary.
  3. Cook the salmon for 3-5 minutes per side until blackened and cooked through.
  4. In a bowl, combine shredded cabbage, grated carrots, chopped cilantro, and lime juice to prepare the slaw.
  5. Mash the avocado in a separate bowl and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Assemble the tacos by layering the blackened salmon, slaw, and avocado on tortillas.
  7. Top with pickled onions and drizzle with chipotle sauce.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, use a cast-iron skillet and avoid overcrowding the pan while cooking the salmon.
