Description

Delicious blackened salmon with a smoky crust and vibrant flavors, perfect for a quick and healthy meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • Juice of 1 fresh lime
  • Fresh vegetables or salad for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper to create the blackened seasoning.
  3. Brush the salmon fillets with avocado oil and generously season both sides with the spice blend.
  4. Cook the salmon fillets in the hot skillet for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until cooked through and a smoky crust forms.
  5. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the top before serving.
  6. Serve with a side of vegetables or a fresh salad.

Notes

Consider marinating the salmon in the spice blend for 15-30 minutes for enhanced flavor. Allow salmon to rest after cooking to keep it juicy.
