Description

A delicious dish featuring crispy pan-fried cod fillets topped with a tangy lemon butter sauce, perfect for a comforting weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 4 cod fillets
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the flour with salt and pepper. Dredge each cod fillet in the seasoned flour, shaking off the excess.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the cod fillets and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. In another pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds.
  5. Stir in lemon juice and cook for an additional minute.
  6. Serve the cod fillets drizzled with lemon butter sauce and garnish with parsley.

Notes

For added flavor, consider mixing fresh lemon zest into the flour before dredging the cod.
