Description
Delicious marinated grilled shrimp infused with a zesty lemon and savory soy sauce flavor, perfect for summer barbecues.
Ingredients
- 1 pound large shrimp (peeled and deveined, tails on or off)
- ⅓ cup olive oil
- ¼ cup lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Make the Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, soy sauce, honey, garlic, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
- Marinate the Shrimp: Place the shrimp in a large zip-top bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the shrimp, seal or cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (but no longer than 1 hour).
- Preheat Grill: Heat the grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
- Grill the Shrimp: If desired, thread shrimp onto skewers. Grill shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side, or until pink, opaque, and slightly charred.
- Serve: Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
Notes
For best results, monitor the shrimp closely to avoid overcooking. Consider soaking wooden skewers to prevent burning.
