A vibrant and fresh tuna poke bowl featuring sushi-grade tuna, marinated in a flavorful sauce, served with crisp vegetables and rice.
Ingredients
- 1 pound sushi-grade Tuna (Ahi or Bluefin, cut into cubes)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 Tbsp toasted sesame oil
- 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 tsp toasted sesame seeds
- 1 garlic clove (freshly grated)
- 4 green onions (thinly sliced)
- 1/4 cup red onions (thinly sliced)
- Cucumber slices (for dipping)
- Brown or white rice (optional base)
Instructions
- Place the tuna cubes in a large bowl.
- Whisk together the soy sauce, toasted sesame oil, rice vinegar, sesame seeds, and freshly grated garlic in a smaller bowl.
- Pour the sauce over the tuna and toss to coat evenly.
- Stir in the sliced green onions and red onions for extra flavor.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate to chill for 20 minutes.
- Serve the tuna with cucumber slices or over a bed of brown or white rice.
Notes
Experiment with the marinade to suit your taste; try adding red pepper flakes or sriracha for a spicy kick.
