Description

A vibrant and fresh tuna poke bowl featuring sushi-grade tuna, marinated in a flavorful sauce, served with crisp vegetables and rice.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound sushi-grade Tuna (Ahi or Bluefin, cut into cubes)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 garlic clove (freshly grated)
  • 4 green onions (thinly sliced)
  • 1/4 cup red onions (thinly sliced)
  • Cucumber slices (for dipping)
  • Brown or white rice (optional base)


Instructions

  1. Place the tuna cubes in a large bowl.
  2. Whisk together the soy sauce, toasted sesame oil, rice vinegar, sesame seeds, and freshly grated garlic in a smaller bowl.
  3. Pour the sauce over the tuna and toss to coat evenly.
  4. Stir in the sliced green onions and red onions for extra flavor.
  5. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate to chill for 20 minutes.
  6. Serve the tuna with cucumber slices or over a bed of brown or white rice.

Notes

Experiment with the marinade to suit your taste; try adding red pepper flakes or sriracha for a spicy kick.
