This baked halibut features a herbed mayonnaise crust that infuses flavor while keeping the fish moist and tender. A simple, healthy meal perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
- 4 halibut fillets
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Mix together the mayonnaise, lemon juice, parsley, dill, chives, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Place the halibut fillets on a greased baking sheet.
- Spread the herbed mayonnaise mixture generously over each fillet. If using, sprinkle breadcrumbs on top for added crunch.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Serve hot, garnished with additional herbs if desired.
