Ingredients
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Oil for frying
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 3 tablespoons sriracha sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- Green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate the shrimp in buttermilk for 30 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, paprika, and salt.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or a large pot.
- Dredge each shrimp in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
- Fry the shrimp in batches until golden brown. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sriracha, honey, and lime juice to create the sauce.
- Toss the fried shrimp in the sauce until fully coated.
- Serve garnished with green onions.
