Description

Crispy, golden Bang Bang shrimp tossed in a luscious sweet chili sauce, perfect for family dinners or festive gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (optional)
  • Green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the shrimp in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Dredge shrimp in the flour mixture and fry until golden brown, around 2-3 minutes per batch.
  5. In another bowl, mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha.
  6. Toss fried shrimp in the sauce until well coated.
  7. Serve garnished with green onions.

Notes

For a lighter version, consider air-frying the shrimp. Serve with lime wedges for added flavor.
