Description

Crispy shrimp tossed in a creamy, spicy sauce that tantalizes the taste buds, perfect for gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined with tails removed
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup high-quality mayonnaise
  • 1 ½ tablespoons Thai sweet chili sauce
  • 1-2 teaspoons Sriracha hot sauce, or to taste


Instructions

  1. Combine the shrimp, buttermilk, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper in a medium bowl and marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Prepare a shallow dish with cornstarch.
  3. Remove the shrimp from the marinade, shake off excess, and coat evenly in cornstarch.
  4. Heat oil in a pot to 350°F and fry the shrimp in batches for about 2 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Drain the shrimp on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  6. Mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and Sriracha in a separate bowl.
  7. Toss the fried shrimp in the sauce and serve immediately for optimal crunch and flavor.
