Description
A creamy, spicy shrimp pasta dish that’s quick to prepare and perfect for weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
- 8 oz pasta (linguine or spaghetti)
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
- 2 tbsp sriracha (adjust for spice level)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish
- Chopped cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add heavy cream, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
- Add the cooked pasta and shrimp back into the skillet. Toss to coat everything in the sauce.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and cilantro before serving.
Notes
Adjust the spice level with more or less sriracha as preferred. Consider adding vegetables for extra crunch.
