Description

A quick and flavorful dish featuring crispy shrimp coated in a spicy sauce, paired with your choice of pasta for a delightful meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ½ cup cornstarch (for dredging the shrimp)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for frying the shrimp)
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1-2 tablespoons Sriracha (according to heat preference)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 8 oz spaghetti or fettuccine
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup chopped green onions (for garnish)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the shrimp with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Dredge in cornstarch.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Fry the shrimp until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  3. Boil salted water and cook pasta until al dente, reserving a cup of pasta water before draining.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, honey, lime juice, and minced garlic until smooth.
  5. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté minced garlic until fragrant, then toss in cooked pasta and add the sauce, mixing well.
  6. Add crispy shrimp on top and gently toss to combine. Garnish with Parmesan, green onions, and red pepper flakes. Serve warm.

Notes

Let the shrimp rest after frying to lock in their juiciness. Adjust the sauce’s heat by adding more Sriracha or red pepper flakes based on your preference.
