Description

A quick and flavorful Bang Bang Salmon dish that can be made in just 15 minutes, featuring a delightful sauce that marries sweet and spicy flavors.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each), either skin-on or skinless
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for a lighter version)
  • 3 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha (adjust for spice preference)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season each side generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. The oil should shimmer without smoking.
  3. Place the salmon fillets in the skillet, skin-side down if applicable. Cook for 4-5 minutes, allowing a golden crust to develop.
  4. Flip the fillets carefully and cook for another 2-3 minutes, ensuring they cook through but remain moist.
  5. While the salmon cooks, prepare the Bang Bang sauce. In a bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise (or yogurt), sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice until smooth.
  6. Once the salmon is cooked, remove it from the skillet and drizzle the Bang Bang sauce over the top. Garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

Pairs well with jasmine rice or roasted vegetables. For a lighter version, use Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise in the sauce.
