Description

Delicious and flavorful Balsamic Garlic Grilled Mushroom Skewers that elevate mushrooms to new heights with balsamic vinegar and garlic.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds mushrooms, sliced 1/4 inch thick
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (or tamari)
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Start by marinating the mushrooms. In a mixing bowl, combine balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper. Add the sliced mushrooms to the marinade. Toss gently to ensure every piece is coated. Let the mixture sit for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. While it heats, prepare your skewers by threading the marinated mushrooms evenly.
  3. Place the skewers on the grate. Grill the mushrooms for about 2-3 minutes per side. You’ll notice they become tender and slightly charred, imparting fantastic flavor.
  4. Remove the skewers from the grill and serve warm.

Notes

Consider soaking wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before using to prevent burning.
