Delicious baked teriyaki salmon with a sweet and savory glaze, perfect for a quick and healthy dinner.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
- 1 tbsp water (if using cornstarch)
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional for a spicy kick)
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place salmon fillets skin-side down on the baking sheet.
- In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
- If desired, mix cornstarch with water and add to the sauce for thickness.
- Pour the sauce generously over the salmon fillets.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
- Drizzle any remaining sauce over the salmon and garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
Notes
For best results, marinate the salmon in teriyaki sauce for 30 minutes prior to cooking. Adjust sweetness and spice according to your preference.
