Description

Comforting baked salmon casserole featuring layers of flaky salmon, creamy soup, and a cheesy topping, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked salmon, flaked
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup grated cheese (Cheddar recommended)
  • 1 cup frozen peas (optional)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flaked salmon, cooked rice, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, grated cheese, and frozen peas. Stir until well mixed and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with olive oil or melted butter, then sprinkle evenly over the casserole.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  6. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Use freshly grated cheese for a creamier texture. Feel free to add vegetables like carrots or bell peppers for extra nutrients.
