Description

A quick and healthy baked tilapia recipe with a crispy Parmesan and Panko crust that brings comforting flavors to the dinner table.

Ingredients

  • 4 Tilapia Fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese, finely grated
  • 1/2 cup Panko Breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease your baking dish with olive oil or cooking spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine Parmesan cheese, Panko breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, lemon juice, garlic powder, dried parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Pat the tilapia fillets dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  4. Coat each fillet with the Parmesan mixture, pressing gently to ensure it sticks.
  5. Arrange the coated fillets in the baking dish with space between each.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the fish is flaky and the crust is golden brown. Broil for an extra 1-2 minutes for added crispiness.
  7. Let rest for a couple of minutes before serving. Garnish with lemon wedges and fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For a bolder flavor, consider increasing the garlic powder and using more lemon juice. Substitute dried herbs for fresh herbs to tweak the recipe based on availability.
