Description

Delicious baked fish tacos made with flaky white fish, warm tortillas, and fresh toppings, perfect for a light yet satisfying meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb white fish fillets (like tilapia or cod)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 8 small taco-sized corn or flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup pico de gallo
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the olive oil, chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  3. Coat the fish fillets with the seasoning mixture, ensuring even coverage.
  4. Place the fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Warm the tortillas in a skillet or microwave until soft.
  7. Assemble the tacos by placing pieces of fish on each tortilla, adding shredded cabbage, pico de gallo, sour cream, and fresh cilantro.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious fish tacos!

Notes

Feel free to modify seasoning levels or let the seasoned fish marinate for 30 minutes before baking for greater flavor.
