Description

A simple yet delicious baked cod fish in a creamy herbed sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 4 cod fillets
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper; bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Place cod fillets in a baking dish and pour the herbed cream sauce over the top.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For a thicker sauce, let the cream simmer longer before adding to the fish. Adding a splash of lemon can enhance the flavor.
