- 1 tsp (5 ml) Dried Thyme
- 2 tsp (10 ml) Herbs De Provence or Italian Seasoning
- 2 tsp (10 ml) Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp (5 ml) Onion Powder
- 1/2 tsp (3 ml) Sea Salt or to taste
- 1/4 tsp (1 ml) Freshly Ground Pepper or to taste
- 4 tsp (20 ml) Baking Powder
- 1 cup (240 ml) Beef BBQ sauce, or your favorite store-bought sauce plus more if needed
Instructions
- Dry the chicken wings with a paper towel after washing. Combine them with the spices and baking powder in a large bowl, ensuring even coverage.
- Set the air fryer to preheat at 380°F for 3 minutes.
- Apply a light coat of oil to the air fryer basket. Arrange the chicken in a single layer without overlapping.
- Air fry for 10 minutes at 380°F. Then, turn the wings over and continue cooking for another 7-10 minutes, checking for a temperature of 165°F with a thermometer. If necessary, cook in batches to avoid crowding.
- Move the cooked wings to a fresh large bowl and add ⅔ cup of barbecue sauce. Stir until fully coated.
- Return the sauced wings to the air fryer and warm them for 3-5 minutes at 350°F.
- Serve right away, or for more sauce, return wings to the bowl and add 1/4 cup of barbecue sauce.
- Heat the oven to 400°F.
- Rub the wings with the spices and baking powder.
- Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer on an oven-safe rack and bake for 45 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Coat the wings with barbecue sauce and bake for an additional 10 minutes, ensuring they are cooked through to 165°F internally.
- Mix the wings with more barbecue sauce and savor!
